Self-denial and aversion to the truth.
Many of us are subject to the conditioning that has been bestowed upon us, resulting in self-denial and aversion to the truth in whatever form it may present itself. We simply do not want to do it. We wish to maintain the acquired psychological narrative, which will therefore be/continue to be constantly confirmed. It is like a curse that we pronounce upon ourselves, which we repeat ad nauseam. (We become victims of a blazing natural instinct, which is referred to as desire). Do we not allow ourselves to sink too easily into the deep pool of self-pity in this way? Will there come a time when we will realize that we possess the power, and can therefore also take responsibility for it ourselves, to be able to achieve wholeness/healing? The soul journey is one of unveiling the illusion, maya, and a complete self-remembering only after we have fallen into deep forgetfulness. In the absence of (self)exploration we will eventually sink further into damnation, after which we will succumb to the compactness of this existence. The compactness that expresses itself in the rigidity of our being. It leaves us paralyzed and powerless. "The resistance to truth is precisely what causes us pain. Humanity is naturally in its element with the truth. Anything less than the truth causes pain and suffering."
