As long as we have not been able to achieve inner sovereignty, we are all slaves to something. In particular to desires that arise from our lower nature and therefore may be transmuted in order to break free from the reins. True freedom begins with grasping inner power and authority (read: sole dominion) over our being. A process that requires control and discipline, endurance and a deep desire to get closer to our own core and to experience well-being. A life in well-being as it is meant for everyone. It is therefore our birthright to live in this freedom of spirit. By giving in to the (total) defeat and the inability to still be able to control the internal struggle, whereby we may acknowledge and therefore accept that the situation leaves us powerless, the opportunity is created to surrender to a higher power. A power that will carry us where we dare to let go of control. As far as I am concerned, this place of inner crisis marks an important turning point, which is requested (read: expected) to be fully experienced. It lets us experience insignificance and it may bring us a deep sense of humility that shows/sidelines the ego its place. We are asked to be strong and courageous, to find confidence in the as yet unproven fact that the universe has our back. That we are all essentially an intangible and indestructible (and therefore immortal) being. It is only through direct experience that it nestles so deeply, into every fiber of our body, that we become identified with it and we express it by living it fully. Truly living, that is. Life for which we must first die. Not literally, but figuratively, yet in such a way that it almost feels real. A frightening process that makes us aware of the transience of this material world and the accompanying passions, drives and desires. A reassuring thought may be that beyond fear, true love reigns. A kind of love that fills us and is also unconditional.
